SUMMARY:Mead Judging Programme in Italy 2025
DESCRIPTION:MJP – Mead Judging Programme – is a pioneering European training programme preparing for professional mead judging. The programme was launched during the II European Mead Makers Conference in 2019. Our main goal is to prepare and train professional mead judges as well as to educate people in a conscious and correct mead tasting. The programme is intended for people who want to acquire knowledge and skills about sensory tasting of meads. Participants are introduced to the basis of sensory science, mead’s categories, mead’s defects and method of evaluation. The training includes theorical and practical parts. At the end of the training, participants have the opportunity to take a theoretical and practical exam.\nThe course and the exam are in English.\nMax 25 participants\nRegistration by October 3rd\nMJP – Mead Judging Programme – è un programma di formazione europeo che prepara alla valutazione professionale dell’idromele. È è stato lanciato durante la 2a Conferenza Europea dei Produttori di Idromele nel 2019. L’obiettivo principale è preparare e formare giudici professioniste/i sull’idromele, nonché educare le persone a una degustazione consapevole e corretta dell’idromele. Il programma è rivolto a coloro che desiderano acquisire conoscenze e competenze sulla degustazione sensoriale dell’idromele. Le/i partecipanti vengono introdotti alle basi della scienza sensoriale, alle categorie di idromele, ai difetti dell’idromele e ai metodi di valutazione. Il corso comprende parti teoriche e pratiche.
